We are no longer accepting applications for the spring 2013 Jr. Firefighter Program session. Please check back at the end of the summer for more information about our fall 2013 session.
The Takoma Park Jr. Firefighter Program will be held from Sunday, February 24 (Student & Parent Orientation) to Sunday, June 2, 2013. The hours will be from 12pm-2:30pm (unless otherwise stated) at the Takoma Park fire station on the corner of Philadelphia and Carroll (7201 Carroll Ave, Takoma Park, Maryland).
During the FREE 14 week program, a healthy and balanced lunch will be provided for the first 30 minutes. In the next hour, homework help/tutoring and team-building exercises will take place. In the last hour the following activities related to fire/EMS/first aid training will be provided:
*Participants will be provided with a Jr. Firefighter t-shirt, a steel reusable water bottle, and all other materials needed for participation in the program.*
