Ambulance 702 and Engine 702 were dispatched for a car that had crashed into a telegraph pole on Carroll Ave.
On the short ride to the scene the Company was told that there may be live wires on the road.
When they arrived they found that an SUV had gone through the pole, strewing wires all over the road, and bystanders were gathering.
A702 used the loudspeaker to warn them to stay back from the wires.
The driver was already out, and after being assessed by trainee EMT Adam Bearne, he was found to have no injuries.
It was a lucky escape.
